1. Overview
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our products. Most Lakesoft Solutions SaaS subscriptions are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund — no lengthy explanations required.
We offer different refund terms depending on the type of product or service purchased. Please read the relevant section below for your specific purchase type. Our goal is to be fair and transparent in all refund decisions.
2. SaaS Subscription Refunds
2.1 Monthly Subscriptions
For monthly SaaS subscription plans, the following refund terms apply:
- Within 30 days of initial purchase: Full refund available upon request — no questions asked
- After 30 days: No refund for the current billing period. You may cancel to prevent future charges and retain access until the end of the paid period
- Auto-renewal charges: If you were charged due to forgetting to cancel before renewal, contact us within 72 hours of the renewal charge and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis
2.2 Annual Subscriptions
For annual SaaS subscription plans:
- Within 30 days of initial purchase: Full refund available upon request
- Between 31–90 days: Pro-rata refund for unused months at our discretion, minus a 10% administrative fee
- After 90 days: No refund available. You may cancel to prevent automatic renewal at the end of the annual term
- Downgrade: You may downgrade your plan at any time. Credit for unused time will be applied to your new plan, not refunded as cash
2.3 Free Trial Conversions
If your subscription began with a free trial and you forgot to cancel before the trial ended, contact us within 48 hours of the first charge and we will cancel and refund in full.
3. Digital & Downloadable Products
Digital products including software plugins, themes, templates, scripts, and downloadable tools are generally non-refundable once downloaded or the licence key has been accessed, as we have no means of verifying that the product has been uninstalled or destroyed.
Exceptions where a refund may be granted:
- The product is proven to be fundamentally defective and we are unable to provide a working fix within 14 business days
- The product was significantly misrepresented in its description or feature list
- A duplicate purchase was made — we will refund the duplicate charge in full
- Technical failure prevented successful download and our support team cannot resolve it within 5 business days
4. IT Training & Courses
4.1 Online Courses and Self-Paced Training
- Within 7 days of purchase and less than 20% of course completed: Full refund available
- Within 14 days and less than 40% completed: 50% refund
- After 14 days or more than 40% completed: No refund. You retain lifetime access to the course
- Course bundles: Refund eligibility is assessed per the most advanced course accessed in the bundle
4.2 Live Training and Bootcamps
- Cancellation more than 14 days before the start date: Full refund
- Cancellation 7–14 days before start date: 50% refund
- Cancellation less than 7 days before start date: No refund. Credit may be applied to a future session at our discretion
- Lakesoft cancels the session: Full refund or transfer to next available session, your choice
- No-show without prior notice: No refund
4.3 Corporate Training Packages
Refund terms for enterprise and corporate training agreements are governed by the specific contract signed between Lakesoft Technologies Limited and the client organisation. Where no specific terms are stated in the contract, this general refund policy applies.
5. Consulting & Custom Development
- Project not yet started: Full refund of any deposit paid, minus a 5% administrative processing fee
- Project in progress: Refund of the unused portion of fees paid, based on work completed and documented in a progress report
- Completed deliverables: No refund for work already delivered and accepted. If you dispute the quality of a completed deliverable, raise a formal complaint within 14 days of delivery
- Milestone-based projects: Each milestone is treated independently. Completed and accepted milestones are non-refundable

7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
Gather Your Order Details
Have your order number, registered email address, and the product name ready. Your order number can be found in your confirmation email or account dashboard.
Submit Your Refund Request
Email our support team at payment@lakesoft-solutions.com with the subject line: "Refund Request — [Your Order Number]". Include your reason for the refund request. Alternatively, use the Contact Form and select "Refund Request" as the subject.
Acknowledge Within 24 Hours
Our team will acknowledge your request within 24 hours (business days) and may ask for additional information to process your request.
Review and Decision
We will review your request and communicate our decision within 3 business days. If approved, the refund will be initiated immediately.
Refund Processed
Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days depending on your payment method and bank. See Section 8 for details.
8. Refund Processing & Timelines
All approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

Refund timelines begin from the date we initiate the refund on our end. We do not control how quickly your bank or payment provider processes the credit. If you have not received your refund after 14 business days, please contact both your bank and our support team.
Currency note: Refunds are always processed in the currency originally charged. We are not responsible for currency fluctuation losses between the time of purchase and refund.
9. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Regardless of the above, refunds will not be granted in the following circumstances:
- Violation of our Terms of Service or acceptable use policy
- Account suspension or termination due to fraudulent activity or abuse
- Products purchased through third-party resellers or marketplaces (contact the reseller directly)
- Failure to cancel a subscription before the renewal date, except where within the 72-hour review window
- Change of mind after the applicable refund window has passed
- Dissatisfaction with features that were accurately documented prior to purchase
- Incompatibility with third-party software or systems not listed as compatible in our documentation
- Requests made after account deletion where order records cannot be verified
10. Chargebacks and Disputes
We strongly encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. Most issues can be resolved quickly and informally through our support team.
If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us:
- Your account will be suspended pending resolution of the dispute
- Access to all Lakesoft products and services will be revoked
- We will submit evidence to your payment provider to contest unwarranted chargebacks
- Resolved chargebacks found in our favour may result in a permanent account ban
If you have a genuine billing error, please email payment@lakesoft-solutions.com and we will resolve it promptly without the need for a chargeback.
11. Nigerian Consumer Protection Rights
This Refund Policy is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, 2018 (FCCPA) and any other applicable Nigerian consumer protection legislation.
Under the FCCPA, you have the right to:
- Receive goods and services that are safe, of good quality, and fit for purpose
- Receive accurate and complete information about products before purchase
- Fair and honest dealing in all commercial transactions
- Lodge a complaint with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) if you believe your consumer rights have been violated
